If you have not used products or feed containing oxytetracycline or chlortetracycline in the last 90 days or do not use the above products you MUST write the words 'Russian Eligible' on the National Vendor Declaration. Use Question 9 for cattle.

QRAA Extension
Rural Financial Counsellor Kim Corfield is thankful an extension has been granted until 30th June 2012 for assistance under the joint Commonwealth / State Government Natural Disaster Relief and Recovery Arrangements. The large numbers of clients who were awaiting contractors to complete work was certainly a problem looming with the previous January 2012 deadline. Rural Financial Counsellors assist clients with any QRAA applications.
QRAA administers the following schemes:
- Special Disaster Assistance grants (up to $25,000) for clean-up and recovery
- Natural Disaster Assistance loans (up to $250,000 for primary producers and small businesses, and up to $105,000 for non-profit organizations)
- Exceptional Disaster Assistance loan/grant package (up to $650,000) for those businesses, primary producers and non-profit organizations suffering direct extreme damage.

Biggenden Weaner Steers Make 248.2c or $794/hd
Burnett Livestock & Realty’s meatworks and store sale on Monday 23 January saw a yarding of 2008 head. 303 bullocks were yarded with prices easing since the last sale in December 2011. 225 bullocks 500-600kg topped at 188c averaging 176.4c and 78 bullocks over 600kg topped at 183.2c averaging 177.5c – close to 20c cheaper on average compared to the 5 December sale. Mid September 2011 was the last time bullocks averaged around this c/kg price. 609 cows were yarded and experienced similar easing in prices. Top cows over 500kg made 166c and averaged 155.1c while cows 400-500kg topped at 162.2c and averaged 147.3c, close to 15c cheaper than December 2011. Again, mid September was the last similar average for cows. Trade heifers also suffered similar losses averaging 165.7c topping at 187.2c. Heavy bulls topped at 161.2c averaging six cents cheaper on December 2011.
The quality on the steer run was mostly of lesser quality with the lack of lines due to the upcoming Steer Sale. Heavy feeder steers were of short supply tipping at 195.2c. 300-400kg steers averaged 181.9c while weaner steers topped at 248.2c averaging 205-212c, six to twelve cents cheaper than the first 2012 sale. A few more feeder heifers were yarded than normal and mostly sold to a firm market averaging one or two cents dearer. Most of the weaner heifers are still going to processors topping at 229.2c averaging one to six cents cheaper than the first 2012 sale. 76 x 73 open auction cows and calves were sold selling from $100 - $1010 averaging $846.
Cattle were drawn from Chinchilla, Eidsvold, Monto, Mt Perry, Mundubbera, Monogorilby, Gayndah, Boondooma, Booubyjan, Windera, Hervey Bay, Torbanlea, Buxton, Childers, Bundaberg, Burnett Heads, South Kolan, Yandaran, Rosedale, Lowmead, Miriam Vale, Gin Gin, Booyal and all local areas.

Droughtmaster cross bullocks with four and six teeth on account of LK Mittelheuser, Gin Gin sold for 181.2c or $1002.
