| Vol. 105 - NOVEMBER 2011 ISSUE |
Vendors’ market – Our Meatworks and Store Sale on Monday was certainly a vendors’ market with all descriptions averaging dearer. The market is on fire with only two more sales left for 2011. A high market is great while it lasts, and it never lasts forever, so if you have stock you are thinking about selling talk to Lance, Paul or Matt to discuss your selling options.
Last sales for 2011 – Our remaining two sales for this year are:
Monday 5 December – Meatworks and Store Sale
Thursday 15 December – Meatworks, Store and Female Sale
We anticipate commencing selling on Monday 9 January pending weather and meatworks operations. We will keep our readers informed in the next two newsletters.
2012 Special Sale Dates
We have several Special Sales scheduled for early 2012.
Steer Sale – Thursday 2nd February
Prime Sale – Thursday 15th March
Droughtmaster Sale – Thursday 29th March
Talk to our Livestock Team if you have any queries about these sales.
2012 Sale Calendars are available now. Talk to our administration staff about getting a copy or go to our website www.burnettlr.com.au to download a copy.
Multi-load deliveries for sales
If you are carrying your own cattle on more than one load or sending several loads on a carrier you have the option of sending one National Vendor Declaration (NVD) and using Waybills for the balance of the loads (providing the consignment has all the same answers on the declaration). This way our saleyards will receive only one NVD if the consignment are all the same and the vendor will be using only of their NVDs. Waybills are available from the DPI at a much cheaper cost than NVDs. If our staff know you have further loads coming they will hold off drafting your cattle until the balance arrive. This practice not only saves the vendor in paperwork and money but also helps better present the cattle for sale. Please talk to our staff if you would like to clarify this issue.
